Hon'ble Governor of Assam , Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, held a review meeting with District Commissioner, Chirang, Superintendent of Police, Chirang, Heads of Security Agencies and Heads of the Departments of Chirang district at the conference hall of the DC's office Chirang. The Hon'ble Governor reviewed the work status and assessed the progress of the flagship schemes of central and state government and provided his valuable suggestions for speedy completion of all the ongoing central and state government schemes in time-bound manner maintaining quality. He also interacted with the Superintendent of Police, Chirang and Heads of the Security Agencies about law and order and the security scenario in the district.

A one-day district-level workshop on Good Governance was held on 23 December 2024 at the District Commissioner’s Office, as part of the ongoing Good Governance Week.
