Chirang District is one of the five districts of Bodoland Territorial Council under the State of Assam in North - East India. The district Head Quarter of Chirang is in Kajalgaon reciprocates a multi-culture and charming trade destination. Chirang is located at 26.6539 degree North, 90.6394- degree East and its boundary in the North with Bhutan, in the South with Bongaigaon district, in the East with Baksa district and in the west with Kokrajhar district.

            In the department of Economics & Statistics of Chirang district the Crop Cutting Experiment (CCE) is going under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojona (PMFBY) of Winter Paddy and Black Gram for the year, 2022-23 as follows:-

Total Sample Target:- 48

Sample Completed:- 46 till date.

Black Gram of Sample village 11 (Eleven) is allotted under PMFBY for the year, 2022-23. The field work is going on.

  1. In addition to the National Sample Survey was going on in the field. In this year, 8 (Eight) Nos. of NSS Sample is allocated in the Chirang district. In our Primary worker has done the NSS work. In this year Agriculture Census, 2021-22 is to be started shortly.
  2. Price collection work is to be done from the specific centre by the Primary Investigator. It is important for our Price Index.

On the other hand Timely Reporting Scheme (TRS) is continuous Scheme in the department of Economics & Statistics. Adhoc Survey, Census work, Arecanut, Coconut, Fruits & Vegetables Survey has performed by this department.
