December 9, 2022, Hon'ble Guardian Minister and Handloom and Textiles, Soil Conservation, Sericulture and Welfare of Bodoland department Shri Urkhao Gwra Brahma ceremonially distributed scooters to the 343 meritorious students of Chirang district who were able to score 60% and above among the Girls and 75% and above among the Boys in the last Higher Secondary examination conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council as Dr. Banikanta Kakati Meritorious Award under Pragyan Bharati Achoni at a function held at District Parade Ground of Kajalgaon.Hon'ble MLA, Bijni Shri Ajay Kumar Roy, Hon'ble EM, BTC Shri Dhananjay Basumatary, Hon'ble MCLAs, BTC Shri Saikhang Basumatary, Shri Pradeep Kumar Bayan, Shri P Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Chirang, Shri Abhishek Jain, IAS, SDO(C), Bijni, senior officers of district administration, schools inspector, Chirang, teachers and students were present in the programme.
